Spray Plasters

Applying plaster through the use of a spray machine is becoming more popular with decorators and tradesmen as large areas can be completed much faster. Due to its speed of application, spray render outperforms plastering. It can usually be applied in just one coat and is more cost-effective. Some renders come ready-mixed and have quicker drying times than regular plaster. This also helps to reduce scaffolding costs while allowing other trades quicker access.

The most significant advantage of spray plaster is its high construction efficiency and high plaster quality after molding. Since it has a higher initial speed during spraying, it can have a relatively firm grip on the substrates, which can effectively avoid hollowing and cracking.

The spray plasters introduced a series of admixtures that can optimize the plasters’ performance, such as MikaZone™ Methyl Cellulose(MC) products.

The spray plaster can be improved by introducing MikaZone™ MC products:

  • Improve workability
  • Increase water retention
  • Make the spray plaster suitable for long-distance transportation
