Diatom Oozes

Diatom ooze is a newly developed functional interior decorative environment-friendly material in recent years. It is made of inorganic cementitious material as the main binding material and diatom material as the main functional filler. It has the functions of eliminating formaldehyde, purifying air, adjusting humidity, releasing negative oxygen ions, preventing fire and flame, self-cleaning walls, sterilizing, and deodorizing, etc. Diatom ooze coating is used to replace wallpaper and latex paint, it is suitable for interior wall decoration of villas, apartments, hotels, homes, hospitals, etc. 

Diatom ooze coating is a new environmental protection coating. Diatom ooze has the functions of eliminating formaldehyde and releasing negative oxygen ions, so it is called “environmental functional wall material that can breathe”.

The roles of MikaZone™ Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) in diatom oozes:

* Enhance water retention and improve the phenomenon of poor hardening and cracking caused by too fast drying and insufficient hydration of diatom ooze.

* Increase the plasticity of diatom ooze and improve construction workability and work efficiency.

* Fully enabling it to better bond the substrate and the object it is bonding.

* It has a thickening effect, which prevents diatom ooze and adhered objects from being scratched during construction.
